Wednesday CLOSED The Steppin’ Stone Centre offers a place of safety and a place of change. It serves approximately 400 members and offers modern and comfortable surroundings; lunch and dinner which is served daily for a small fee; laundry, showers, and a clothing store. Volunteering opportunities are available. Regular activities and training take place most afternoons from 2pm to 4pm. There is a computer room with internet access, an art room, a therapy room and a library where people can get advice and information or discuss personal matters. To become a member and be given a membership card, turn up at the office at 139 Magdalen Street during opening hours. The centre is open to those over 16, although the focus is on the over 25's. More than 75 members show up each day and more than 40 meals are served each day. No-one who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be allowed in.
